- Conduct capacity studies to determine the ability of Manufacturing to produce products
- Review and set production line standard rates
- Update and maintain savings templates for CA development
- Develop, coordinate, and monitor reporting systems to measure manufacturing metrics such as process reliability, cost per unit and material loss
- Conduct feasibility studies of varied projects to determine the worth of an investment and provide justification for CA
- Perform simulations to evaluate options and select the best course of action
- Perform make vs.
- Travel to plants to identify problems and develop solutions to production, packaging material usage, and methods of operations to minimize total operational costs; present recommendations to management
- Provide industrial engineering support for cost estimations for our plants and staff
- Bring projects to a timely and cost efficient conclusion
- Develop and analyze systems and methods to provide low cost transportation solutions
- Develop and coordinate contract agreements for equipment or services in manufacturing and distribution departments
- Lead initiative of a Focus Plant to achieve performance expectations
- Lead a focus area, such as simulation, third party logistics, or margin analysis
- Lead multi department efforts and be a part of a strategic project, such as a new plant, plant closing or a major shifting of business
- Stay abreast of the food processing and packaging industry
- Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
- Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems
- Accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles

- Bachelor's Degree industrial engineering or a closely related field with 10+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven leadership skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including expert proficiency in Excel
- Effective planning, negotiating, decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills Desired
