IPTSE (ICE Propulsion and Thermal Systems Engineering) Joint Integration Supervisor-
Manage Fastener/Joint Engineering section to support engine and powertrain installation programs.
Responsibilities
What you'll do...
- Drive completion of program milestones and foundation documents
- Support the design and development of fasteners and joints to meet powerpack program requirements
- Enforce engineering discipline in joint analysis including stackups
- Support engine and VO plants for quality, assembly and shortage issues
- Visit supplier and assembly plants as required
- Provide launch support to engine and VO plants on an as needed basis
- Collaborate with purchasing to develop fastener sourcing strategy
- Drive supply base development of Best In Class (BIC) manufacturing processes and foster relationships with Purchasing and STA to ensure robust fastener quality and delivery
- Manage and prioritize torque development and joint tests in the EMDO fastener lab
- Manage IPTSE Fastener Lab Work Request Priority and Capital Funding
- Enforce design rules
Qualifications
You'll have...
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; (MSME or MSEM Preferred)
- Strong Affinity for Solid Mechanics, Statics and Physics
- Strong desire and ability to be "hands-on" in the lab is required. Familiarity with hand tools, Tension/Compression machine, etc. is needed
- Effective program and project management skills with ability to manage many assignments simultaneously and be able to prioritize appropriately
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others as part of a global team
- Strong problem-solving skills on complex interactions, including powertrain and vehicle architectures
- Experience/know-how in manufacturing field from raw materials to tools, production fabrication, and assembly of components

- 5+ years of fastener and joint design experiences preferred
- WERS proficiency to release fasteners and provide alerts where needed is preferred

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $112,680-212,760.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
