Continuous Improvement Engineer ResponsibilitiesFocuses on driving continuous process improvement throughout the facility.
Identifies, leads and promotes improvement projects.
Collaborates with process owners in analysis of data and problem-solving activities.
Serves as the facility technical expert and has overall responsibility for the management of various management systems including ISO 9001 standards.
Coordinates and leads management review in accordance with the standards to ensure the ISO management system is effective and aligned with the strategic direction of the facility.
Coordinates audits of the ISO management system.Guides efforts to adopt new management system standards and the integration of other existing management systems.
Gathers information and tracks key performance indicators as needed.
Leads, facilitates, and drives the use of Lean Manufacturing methodologies throughout production activities and work processes.
Conducts, time, motion, capacity, and utilization studies.
Identifies, analyzes and implements process improvements in costs, quality, workflow and delivery.
Creates cross-functional process maps, value stream maps, flow charts, and other workflow diagrams to document a process or series of parallel processes and/or to depict material and information flow through various operations.
Continuous Improvement Engineer Skills/RequirementsBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or applicable field is preferredFive years' experience, preferably in a petrochemical or refining environment.
Self-motivated and pays attention to details with excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Requires the ability to build relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Knowledge of and experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems is preferred.
Experience with Lean Six Sigma principles, Green-Belt Certification preferred.
Above average skills with Microsoft Office products is required, as well as Visio and other software programs.
