Stage Carpentry
We are looking for a Carpenter Technician to join our Carpentry Team.

The main objective of this role isto run multiple show tracks in an efficient and safe manner, in accordance with Cirque du Soleil standards and policies.

They will also need to accomplish daily maintenance, inspections and training per the artistic schedule. Run cue tracks to position scenic elements and related equipment as directed for performances, artist training and maintenance;

• Inspect, maintain and repair backstage areas and stage equipment;
• Maintain all carpentry documentation related to the maintenance, operation, etc. of equipment, systems and tracks;
• Assist with inventory by identifying any additional equipment that may be required and communicate with Lead when necessary;
• Participate in special projects, including the construction and installation of new show elements, and other projects that include carpentry elements or other needs that may fall within the department's specialty, as directed;
• Cooperate with other departments to ensure safe training, rehearsal and show environments;
• Develop a thorough knowledge of all Carpentry Department equipment specific to the production in order tooperate equipment safely;
• Adhere to and promote all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations as they pertain to the safe operation of all elements related to the show; participate in all required health and safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training;
• Previous experience working as a run crew technician and running show cue tracks;
• Standard theatrical construction technique experience;
• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications(Word, Excel and Outlook);
• The following (5) qualifications are considered an asset to have:

o Previous experience in finish carpentry or scenic painting;
o Welding certification;
o Previous experience working with metal, wood working, rigging, welding, mechanical and pneumatic;
o Formal fall protection and overall safety training;
