    RN Supervisor Onsite

    Monday-Friday 6:00AM-2:30PM, overseeing 3 shifts

    Davenport, IA

    Primary responsibility for day-to-day management of the clinic site including staff scheduling and clinical staff supervision. The RN Supervisor is also responsible for providing direct care to employees and other personnel within the scope of service and in accordance with established standing orders.

    Responsibilities:

    Leadership and Management
    Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day workflow of the office including the review of staffing needs and supervision and training of staff in site specific procedures.
    Provide leadership and direction of medical care given in the clinic.
    Responsible for ensuring staff are following all established processes to ensure comprehensive and accurate completion of job duties.
    Provide conflict resolution and supports interpersonal relations with staff
    Responsible for the scheduling of staff for the assigned unit
    Completes annual performance appraisals for direct reports. Encourages and supports the staff regarding recommended improvements.
    Monitors work performance for assigned direct reports, provides appropriate coaching and direction utilizing resources such as leadership, human resources and corrective action process.
    Assist leadership with all aspects of hiring, interviewing and selecting team members
    Monitor and assure unit ongoing compliance with OHS standard practices and respond to the business needs and procedures.
    Oversee and audit team member documentation
    Conduct ongoing Program Self-Assessments and prepare for periodic 3rd party Health and Safety audits.
    Serves as the primary point of contact and liaison with business partners outside of the assigned unit (i.e. Safety, Labor Relations, Human Resources, Corporate Occ Health, and Global Wellness)
    Order unit supplies
    Respond to customer needs and requests promptly for assigned sites. Involving UnityPoint at Work leadership and keeping the correct positions informed of issues and their resolution.
    Establish effective mechanisms of communication with team members, patients, UnityPoint Health affiliate personnel to foster an environment, of openness, trust, teamwork and staff development.
    Creates and executes successful orientation for new team members onsite
    Works with the leadership to develop an effective training program for new staff and ongoing training for existing staff.
    Serve as subject matter expert for the assigned site and team members.
    Have basic knowledge of all functions and tasks of the assigned site, customers, and UnityPoint Health to assist team members as needed.
    Monitor reports and data to ensure assigned area is meeting department goals and key performance indicators.
    Clinical Nursing Services
    Responsible for coverage and function in single nurse staffed clinic as needed
    Examine and sees acutely ill employees and determine urgency of care
    Refer cases to company physician or personal physician where appropriate
    Implement company surveillance and safety programs where appropriate
    Be able to function in single nurse staffed clinic
    Basic UPH Performance Criteria
    Demonstrates the UnityPoint Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines.
    Demonstrates ability to meet business needs of department with regular, reliable attendance.
    Employee maintains current licenses and/or certifications required for the position.
    Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, TJC, DNV, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.
    Completes all annual education and competency requirements within the calendar year.
    Is knowledgeable of hospital and department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse. Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of hospital administrative staff. Takes appropriate action on concerns reported by department staff related to compliance.

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    Graduate of an approved Nursing program

    Experience:

    3 Years Nursing or other related Clinical experience

    License(s)/Certification(s):

    Registered Nurse in state(s) practicing

    Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.

    NIOSH approved Spirometry training, or willing to obtain

    CAOHC Certification, or willing to obtain

    BLS Certification

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations on state and federal level

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Ability to lead and effectively communicate with diverse patient, client, and team member population
