We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Product Development Manager to join our manufacturing client's team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in bringing new products from concept to completion, working closely with Design, Graphics, Marketing, Engineering, QA, Legal, Production Support and Asia-based teams.

What You'll Do:

• Orchestrate the entire product development lifecycle, setting timelines, managing resources, and ensuring deliverables are met.
• Be the voice of the customer, providing creative and technical expertise to improve product functionality, user experience, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness
• Develop comprehensive product specifications for all internal and external stakeholders
• Draft instruction manuals to ensure clear and concise product use
• Champion new product initiatives, demonstrating strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Manage the prototype creation process, including budgets, timelines, and approvals
• Oversee factory sample review and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain clear communication with Asia-based teams and factories
• Collaborate with Quality and Compliance to uphold safety regulations and create exceptional products
• Support the Sales team with product information and samples

What We're Looking For:

• A die-hard consumer product enthusiast
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in consumer electronics or consumer goods product development
• Strong hands-on product experience with motorized/motor-driven and electronic components is a must
• Proven track record of success working with overseas factories in China
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a bias for action and a history of driving new initiatives
• Solid understanding of consumer product regulations, requirements, and testing processes (CE compliance a plus)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of various substrates and their production attributes
• Engineering background is a plus
• Prior experience managing or training product development teams is a plus
