    SUMMARY

    A Tax Manager holds a leadership position for individuals with advanced educational preparation and/or experience in accounting. The Tax Manager candidate has demonstrated supervisory skills and is now taking on responsibilities to lead and manage multiple operations within the tax practice area. Their role is to deliver high-quality tax services that enhance the firm's reputation. Additionally, they will serve as a business advisor to our clients, with the goal of maximizing engagement and achieving exceptional outcomes.

    · Develop and mentor a team of high-quality staff.

    · Deliver a comprehensive range of tax services in full compliance with laws and regulations within specified timeframes.

    · Build and maintain relationships with clients, offering expert planning and consulting.

    · Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns.

    · Identify and mitigate tax risks.

    · Coordinate the efforts of the accounting staff and assess their performance.

    · Manage the tax provision and tax compliance process.

    · Enhance processes by developing and implementing best practices.

    · Oversee and coordinate tax audits.

    · Maintain accurate tax balances on the general ledger.

    · Regularly prepare all necessary tax documents and handle all information and data requests.

    Education and Experience

    · Bachelor's degree in accounting from a regionally accredited college or university.

    · Five to eight years of Public Accounting experience.

    Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

    · Active state Certified Public Accountant license or equivalent recognized by the firm (e.g., Chartered Professional Accountant) required.

    · Active driver's license and proof of insurance.

    Preferred Practice Areas of Experience:

    Healthcare (Long-term care, Senior housing, Hospitals & health systems, Physician practices, and Community-based healthcare).

    High Tech.

    Manufacturing.

    Professional services.

    Tax Exempt Organizations, and/or.

    Tourism and Hospitality.

    Job Type: Full-time
