Summary A Mechanical Piping designer will be responsible for providing accurate shop drawings that support the construction team. The designer will report to the modeling supervisor and be r esponsible for interacting with the fabrication supervisor, detailers, project managers, project engineers, field foreman.Responsibilities
_Management Created with Sketch. Management Use Company tools to manage requests for information and shop drawing progress. Work with project manager and field foreman to create As-Built condition drawings for projects. _Mechanical Created with Sketch. Mechanical Accurately model Mechanical Piping systems in compliance with project plans, project specifications, and code requirements for the purposes of producing fabrication documents (spool sheets and drawing) from the model. Coordinate all Mechanical Piping systems with: ductwork, mechanical equipment, other trades, architectural and structural elements of the building. _Analyze Created with Sketch. Analysis Review and distribute fabrication information including assembly sheets, and spool drawings to project managers and field leaders. Proactively identify and communicate areas of deficiency/gaps along with proposed solutions on projects to support timely completion of work. _Communication Created with Sketch. Communication Effectively and proactively communicate with project managers, project engineers and field foremen during the drafting and construction process. This includes communication of challenges and schedule progress on a timely basis (weekly at a minimum). _Teamwork Created with Sketch.
