Job summary
We're hiring Assistants for Park District Sports/Programs this Winter. Help kids/teens with Special Needs have FUN, socialize, practice, compete and enjoy programs.Basketball, Soccer, Martial Arts, Gymnastics Dance Swim Lessons Pottery/Art Special Events.
The sport/program is led by the Park District Your focus is supporting one child 1:1 Related background/knowledge is ideal but not required
Support an individual's needs physical emotional behavioral communication provide instructions redirection adaptations including them with the group Where Naperville/Warrenville we also have optional shifts in Wheaton West Chicago Winfield Glen Ellyn Carol Stream Bloomingdale Roselle Park District Buildings Indoor Sports Complexes etc Hours/Schedule We're flexible Let us know which days are best Weekday Evenings Monday – Friday and some optional Saturdays Team practices and group lessons are about 1 hour long between 4pm - 9pm Team games last about minutes It's okay if you're only available 1 or 2 nights a week Examples Basketball Mon 6p-7p Karate Thurs 5p-6p etc Seasons usually last 6 -8 weeks You can continue with us in the Spring Summer Camp etc Benefits Competitive wages Flexible hours Referral Bonus Possible Additional Work Before After Care Preschool Requirements Must perform job duties independently Firsthand experience providing direct support to individuals with special needs Effectively communicate with individuals with developmental disabilities Age ,with access to reliable transportation About Us We are WDSRA - a Special Recreation Association To Apply Click the Apply button at the top of the page visit our website where you'll first create an account We look forward to connecting Hopefully youre the right candidate to help the awesome individuals we support
