    Description


    Oversees the daily functions of the Crisis Residential Unit (CRU), A Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment level of care designed to stabilize the conditions of a person immediately following a crisis episode and/or to safety manage withdrawal symptoms associated with substance use disorders.

    This service is intended for persons whose conditions can be stabilized with short term intensive services immediately following a crisis without the need for a hospital setting, and who, given appropriate supportive care, can be maintained in the community.

    This can include withdrawal management services for clients with substance use disorders in need of withdrawal management and crisis services.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Oversight of daily operations of the CRU as developed under the direction and guidance of the Nurse Manager and Director.
    • Assists the Nurse Manager or Director with recruitment of CSS and PRSS staff for the CRU.
    • Responsibility for training, scheduling, and supervision of Crisis Stabilization Specialists and Peer Recovery Support Specialists.
    • Provides assessment, supportive counseling, and/or professional counseling services as credentialed
    • Covers unfilled CSS shifts as needed.
    • Assists in reviewing referrals.
    • Ensures that monthly safety checks and fire drill log are maintained per agency procedure.
    • Contributes to the development of the agenda for the monthly staff meetings that includes the scheduling and provision of a training component during each meeting.
    • Assists the Nurse Manager in coordinating daily client needs with the clinical staff to ensure the smooth provision of services and residential care.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to perform Essential Duties as outlined below.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services field.
    • One-year experience supervisory experience in human service setting.
    • Previous experience working with consumers with substance use disorders.
    • Previous experience in provision of behavioral health services.
