    Description


    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cultural Resources Specialist to join the environmental group at an employee-owned consulting firm.

    The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cultural resource management, particularly in the Pacific Northwest region.

    They will lead and manage cultural resources projects, conduct surveys, assessments, and provide expert guidance to clients and project teams.

    This position has the opportunity to sit out of multiple offices across the Pacific Northwest.

    Responsibilities:
    Lead and manage cultural resources projects from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
    Conduct field surveys, archaeological excavations, and historical research.
    Assess the potential impact of development projects on cultural resources and recommend mitigation measures.
    Prepare reports, assessments, and documentation for regulatory agencies and clients.
    Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success.
    Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members.
    Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

    Requirements:
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in anthropology, archaeology, cultural resource management, or a related field.
    At least 8 years of experience in cultural resource management, with a focus on the Pacific Northwest region.
    Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to cultural resources.
    Experience leading and managing cultural resources projects.
    Proficiency in archaeological survey methods, excavation techniques, and historical research.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    Experience with GIS and other relevant software is preferred.
