    Oxford Commons Hospitality Group is the parent company of Oxford Exchange, The Stovall House, Predalina and The Library.

    *Line Cook


    We are looking for an experienced *Line Cook* to join our talented team and help prepare meals according to our standard recipes.

    In this position, your principal goal will be to prepare high-quality meals that meet the chefs exact specifications. You will be responsible for setting up the prep station, stocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards.

    The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. Candidates must have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.

    *JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • 2-3 years experience as a line cook.
    • Strong team working and communication skills.
    • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays.
    • Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment.
    • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
    • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
    • Ability to take direction.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
    • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized.
    • Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge.
    • Must be able to lift to 25 pounds at times.
    • Must be able to work in a kitchen environment that may involve exposure to extreme heat or cold.
    • Culinary school training is a plus.
    *Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Run the day-to-day operation of the assigned station in the kitchen.
    • Check and complete set-up of the station.
    • Communicate with the Chefs regarding menu items, problem situations or shortages.
    • Work closely with standard recipes and plate presentations in order to maintain standards of quality in production and presentation.
    • Store items properly at the end of the shift.
    • Ensure a clean, neat and organized work area
    • Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
    • Maintain a good working relationship with other employees.
    • Perform other tasks or projects assigned by the Management.
    Each associate is expected to complete, within their ability, all reasonable requests by Management.
