- Works with district and school leaders to design and align CCEIS action plan resources, interventions, strategies, and initiatives in significant ways that support positive student outcomes.
- Plans, organizes, and executes professional development to increase awareness of the root causes of disproportionality and provide strategies and interventions that will promote a positive culture and climate in the identified schools.
- Supports activities that include focused observation and feedback, researched-based instructional and behavioral modeling, and coaching to implement behavioral interventions.

- Supports administrators, teachers, and other school staff in identifying root causes of disproportionality and promotes ways to meet students' social and emotional needs.
- Provides resources and support in Tiered Interventions and Supports.
- Collaborates and plans with central office staff to support the utilization of district resources.
- Facilitates collaboration with leadership and CCEIS Comprehensive Support Team resource teachers across divisions.
- Attends required coaching, team and school meetings, and professional development.
- Monitors and ensures alignment of work with the annual CCEIS corrective action plan.
- Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree Or master's equivalent.
- Three years of successful teaching experience and/or school counseling, school social work, school psychologist, or behavior analyst.
- Two years of progressively responsible leadership/management experience in PreK-12 public educational setting. Licenses and Certificates (one of the following is required):
- Possession of, or eligibility for, a Maryland Advanced Professional Certificate. OR
- Possession of, or eligibility for, a Maryland Professional Certificate with a School Psychologist endorsement. OR
- Possession of, or eligibility for, a Maryland Social Worker Certificate.
- Possession of a Social Worker license issued by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners. OR
- Possession of, or eligibility for, a Maryland Certificate with an endorsement in Counseling.

Description
DEFINITION
: Provides guidance and expertise to identified schools that provides professional guidance and coaching to school-based staff and ensure the coordination of the appropriate resources in the identified schools to address areas of disproportionality. The CCEIS Specialist will work with multiple schools and the district office to support students. Supports schools in building capacity to meet the needs of all learners while ensuring that all initiatives support the system-wide goals identified in the Strategic Plan. Performs other duties as assigned.EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Education, Training and Experience:
The work of this class is generally performed both in school and office environments. Travel to schools throughout Baltimore County is required. Work includes the operation of office equipment, computers, and assistive technology devices. Limited physical activities may be required. Work schedules may include nights and weekends and will require occasional work beyond the normally scheduled hours.
This is a grant funded position, contingent upon annual renewal. As such, you will be required to sign an acknowledgement form with the understanding that if the grant is not funded beyond the current year, you will be reassigned to a position based upon the stipulations within the appropriate Master Agreement that is in effect at the time of the reassignment.
SALARY: Grade 8 on the BCPS CASE 12-month pay scale $88,843 - $132,017.
This position is eligible for membership in the Maryland State Retirement System.
