    Major Drilling is looking for a self-motivated and organized HR Generalist for our office in Salt Lake City. This position supports the HR Manager–US and helps ensure efficient delivery of all HR functions. The successful candidate should be versatile, reliable, and personable.

    This is a full-time position; 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday


    Responsibilities:
    Support all day-to-day HR functions and serve as the first point-of-contact for all queries directed to the HR team.

    Support the HR Manager with project delivery and oversight of the HR department, as needed.

    Effectively advise employees and managers on company policy and governing regulations.

    Ensure adequate delivery of all onboarding activities between appropriate stakeholders.

    Administer all benefit activities, including elections/changes, resolving employee queries, and reconciling monthly enrollments.

    Process employee information and pay changes between appropriate stakeholders.

    Assist with pay-related queries and troubleshooting requests.

    Maintain employee leave programs, including coordinating leave requests, FMLA eligibility/requirements, and return-to-work procedures.

    Process employment verifications and mandatory orders such as support notices.

    Initiate offboarding procedures, including termination processing and post-termination communications.


    Ensure compliance with Company Drug & Alcohol Policy including coordinating monthly random drug screens and maintaining drug screen records and results.

    Ensure compliant recordkeeping and maintenance of employee documents and files.

    Ensure accurate maintenance of employee data in HRIS systems.

    Other responsibilities as assigned.


    Qualifications:
    2-3 years in progressive Human Resources positions

    Bachelor's degree, preferred

    SHRM-CP or PHR, preferred

    HRIS system experience, ADP preferred

    The successful candidate must also have the following:

    Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

    Demonstrated reliability in attendance and task completion.

    Effective problem-solving abilities.

    Willingness to assist with miscellaneous projects as needed.

    Ability to work in a team environment.

    Excellent attention to detail.

    Ability to multi-task.
