    TITLE: QC Chemist

    PAY: $ /hour W2

    DURATION: 18 months - possibility to extend

    LOCATION: Onsite – Katy, TX

    SCHEDULE: pm CST - Mon-Fri

    Description:

    The Quality Control Chemist performs analytical testing of raw materials, in-process, finished products following protocols and procedures (SOP's) and company policies. This position is required to work independently as well as part of a team to achieve company goals.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • and log incoming raw materials or final products to schedule for analysis.
    • sample for QC/QA analysis through standard preparation, extraction, and dilution techniques.
    • QC/QA analysis on raw materials or final products using instrumentation such as pH meter, Densitometer, HPLC, ICP and other techniques.
    • short- and long-term stability studies on raw and finished products.
    • other senior staff Chemist in sample analysis for QC/QA or R&D activities.
    • to work in a team collaboratively and have ability to recognize unexpected results and independently work to solve the problem or notify supervisor for assistance.

    • multiple types of chemistry (ie. formulations, analytical, and organic chemistry) and develop procedures as needed.
    • reports and required documentation needed for products such as registration documents, certificates of analyses, method write-ups, standard operating procedures, and summary reports.
    • and record all raw data (i.e. sample weights, instrument calibration data, sample results, etc.) following company policies and procedures.
    • familiarity on use of all applicable equipment, systems, and procedures (SOPs)

    Required Education and Experience:

    • degree in Chemistry required
    • experience (3+ years) working as an analytical chemist
    • understanding on the use, interpretation, and maintenance of analytical instrumentation (primarily HPLC, GC, GC/MS, and ICP-OES)
    • to communicate interdepartmentally between all teams including production, sales, QC/QA, R&D, and regulatory
    • of sampling methods and quality control systems
    • working with hazardous materials required

    be able to work in a team environment and independently in problem solving

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products
