    Spectral MD is looking for a team-oriented electrical engineer intern who will work closely with Electrical Engineering team to support our current and future medical imaging devices.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist with electronics design of a Medical Imaging System.
    • Assist with write electronics hardware design specifications and circuit designs.
    • Assist in troubleshoots and debugs system level problems down to root causes with respect to circuit design, firmware, PCB and component failures.
    • Assist in component selection to solve obsolete components issues.
    • Assist in board level design verification testing and documentation.
    • Assist in design and testing of test fixtures for use in a production environment.
    • Assist in system level performance testing and documentation.

    Required education and experience:

    • In process of obtaining a BS or a graduate degree in a relevant degree (in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience with a focus on Electrical system design and development.)
    • Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment producing high quality products on tight timelines.
    • Must have right to work in the US

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Understanding of engineering first principles
    • Familiarity with common CAD software packages (Altium Designer, OrCAD, Allegro, Solidworks, etc.)
    • Software development skills in C or C++
    • Microsoft Office
    • Familiarity with design, prototyping, and manufacturing processes
