    As a key member of the logistics team, you will be responsible for orchestrating truck transportation for both inbound and outbound shipments, utilizing a full truckload approach. Your goal will be to optimize delivery by selecting the best carriers based on cost, service quality, and availability. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining excellent communication with our carrier network and ensuring transparency of shipment information throughout its journey.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Strategically assign loads to carriers using our advanced web-based Transportation Management System.
    • Schedule and confirm pickup times to align with customer expectations.
    • Ensure timely pickup and delivery of all shipments, maintaining communication with customers and internal teams to meet dynamic needs.
    • Generate daily shipment reports detailing volumes and addressing any shipment discrepancies.
    • Skillfully negotiate spot rates and prepare rate confirmations.
    • Conduct daily freight rate audits and actively participate in cross-functional teams to enhance service delivery.
    • Manage carrier claims and oversee the collections process.
    • Additional responsibilities as needed to support the logistics department.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • 2 to 3 years of experience in dispatching
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to solve problems effectively and analyze data.
    • Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment and working collaboratively with various teams.
    • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and urgency.
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

    Essential Functions:

    • Effective decision-making and ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude under pressure.
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Physical requirements include prolonged periods of sitting, continual use of office equipment, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
    • Valid driver's license required, with occasional travel by plane or automobile.
