Data Scientist - Trenton, United States - LinusBio
Description
Company DescriptionHelp us build a company with a unique science platform that enables new diagnostics and earlier interventions to support a better quality of life for people everywhere
LinusBio is a patient-centric, precision medicine company headquartered in North Brunswick, NJ.
Originating from the world's leading exposome laboratory at Mount Sinai Health System, LinusBio identifies novel non-genomic biomarkers of health and disease for drug development and clinical use.
Using a strand of hair, our temporal exposomic sequencing platform maps the dynamic biochemical patterns of an individual's unique biological response to environmental exposures.
We focus on medical conditions that historically have had no objective measures to predict, diagnose, or characterize them, including CNS conditions (autism spectrum disorder, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, schizophrenia) and gastrointestinal disorders (inflammatory bowel disease, eosinophilic esophagitis).
Position OverviewWe are seeking a talented and motivated Data Scientist to join our Research & Development team.
This position plays a pivotal role in collaborating with external biopharma and academic partners, leveraging data from clinical trials and research projects to drive insights, identify predictive biomarkers, and advance our collaborative efforts, product portfolio, and scientific discoveries.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with external biopharma and academic partners to analyze and interpret data from clinical trials, research studies, and real-world evidence.
Lead biomarker discovery efforts to support therapeutic development.
Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and trends that inform decision-making.
Develop and implement analytical pipelines using R, Python, or other relevant tools for data analysis and visualization.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines governing data use in clinical research.
Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to internal stakeholders, external collaborators, and regulatory bodies.
Contribute to the development of innovative research strategies and product development initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
Advanced degree (Ph.
D. preferred) in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics).
Proven experience in data science, machine learning, and exploratory data analysis within the biopharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
Proficiency in programming languages such as R and Python for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
Familiarity with working in regulated environments, particularly with data derived from clinical trials and electronic health records (EHR).
Preferred experience in developing diagnostics or biomarker-driven therapies.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
Track record of successful collaboration with external partners (pharma, academic) in a research or industry setting.
Ability to thrive in a small, dynamic team environment and adapt to evolving project requirements.
Passion for improving patient outcomes and making a meaningful impact on healthcare through innovative data-driven approaches.
Motivated self-starter with a strong commitment to scientific excellence and continuous learning.
Join Our Team:
If you are passionate about leveraging data science to advance biotechnology research and development, and thrive in a collaborative and innovative environment, we encourage you to apply.
