    Position Summary

    We are seeking an exceptionally driven and passionate individual to join our growing Product Development Team. Antora is rapidly ramping from prototype to low-volume manufacturing of its unique thermal energy storage systems for deployment at customer sites. This is the first hire in a planned product reliability team that will ensure high reliability in Antora's thermal battery and plants at renewable energy projects across the country. You will collaborate with engineering teams to scope, define, design, and implement Antora's reliability tools. You will be a key technical member of a cross-functional and rapidly growing organization. Your work will directly contribute to the demonstration of a first of a kind long-duration energy storage technology.

    In this role you will report to the head of product development and ensure the reliability of Antora's designs and systems. You will work with your colleagues across mechanical, electrical, controls, test, and plant engineering to identify top focus areas for product reliability improvements. You will develop the processes which ensure reliability is designed into Antora's products, and you will help develop the tools which enable those processes. In addition, the candidate will embody the Antora values, demonstrating teamwork, excellent communication, and excellence in engineering.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Engaging with other team members to drive the delivery of key deliverables such as Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Hazard and Operability Analysis (HAZOP)
    • Embed with hardware, software, and test Engineers in defining success criteria for critical reliability decisions and assessments
    • Partner with peer teams to create the tools to drive data driven reliability improvements such as Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)
    • Reporting in program reviews and top-level reliability performance reviews/dashboards.
    • Participate in design phase gate reviews to ensure reliability requirements are met
    • Contribute to lessons learned and improve

    Key Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering/science field, or equivalent work experience
    • 5-7 years of experience in a hardware-focused reliability engineering role
    • Strong process, tool, and continuous improvement mindset
    • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

    Additional Qualifications Desired

    • Advanced degree(s) in Engineering
    • Technical expertise in Test, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
    • Technical / Engineering Program Management Experience
    • Experience ramping first production in a startup environment
    • Experienced in statistical data analyst

    Work Location: Onsite - San Jose, CA

    Salary Range: $163,000 USD - $195,000 USD

    Salary Basis: Annual

    This job posting contains the salary range that Antora Energy believes it would be willing to pay for the posted job. The actual salary offered will be determined within the posted range based on a candidate's experience, credentials, and expertise as they pertain to the requirements of the position.
