    Marketing Manager #128269;School of Medicine, Stanford, California, United StatesNew#128193;Communications#128197;103090 Requisition # Stanford Medicine WellMD & WellPhD seeks an accomplished Marketing Manager to design, create, and develop marketing deliverables to execute in support of the center's program and communication strategy.

    Since 2011, the Stanford Medicine WellMD & WellPhD Center has worked to advance the well-being of physicians and biomedical scientists, earning global recognition as a leader in the field of physician well-being.

    Our programs support over 6,000 clinical faculty, faculty scientists, residents, fellows, students, and healthcare professionals within Stanford Medicine.

    We collaborate with organizational and departmental leaders to cultivate an environment centered around professional fulfilment through individual Personal Resilience and organizational dedication to fostering a Culture of Wellness and Efficiency of Practice.

    Externally, our education portfolio has trained physician well-being leaders globally, and our model and assessment tools are utilized by healthcare organizations worldwide.

    Reporting to the Director of Communications, this position plays a pivotal role in conceiving, creating, and managing marketing initiatives that drive a cohesive visual approach and brand representation throughout all media types while meeting the diverse communications needs of the WellMD & WellPhD audiences and within the expanding Center.

    The Marketing Manager will oversee print design and digital presence, including website, video production, social media, e-newsletter, and any future digital channels.


    Examples of projects:
    Developing a photo / video repository and visual artifacts to help tell the WellMD & WellPhD story to internal and external audiences

    Creating promotional campaigns to drive attendance and participation in programs for those in distress, seeking community, and/or in need of support, recharge, and/or leadership development.

    Creating promotional campaigns to drive awareness, registration, and referrals to the center's educational offerings.

    Redesigning the center website that includes both internal and externally facing pages and developing tools to allow for user-driven navigation to access personalized programmatic resources.

    Lead video projects and oversee vendor throughout the filming, editing, and production process in support of ongoing campaigns, such as Well-being Progress at Stanford.

    Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience,
    Previous experience in product, program, and/or services marketing.
    Experience with graphic design, web design, and multi-channel communications, ideally in an academic medical center or university setting
    Experience with managing projects.
    Knowledge of marketing across channels, including digital and print.
    Familiar with market research and data analysis.
    Knowledge of graphic and general web design
    Proficient with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator

    Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe Stock, Adobe Premiere, MailChimp, Constant Contact, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint.

    Develop marketing and communication deliverables to drive awareness, understanding, and engagement of WellMD & WellPhD and its initiatives and offerings in an area of expertise for a program.

    Develop complex marketing and communications campaigns for a variety of content delivery channels, including print and digital media.

    Develop and design marketing campaigns and materials in support of the WellMD & WellPhD brand and the center's mission.

    Manage marketing projects, including but not limited to oversight of video and graphics vendors and selection of online marketing platforms in support of designated communication and center priorities.

    Analyze and apply data from the center's various channels and audiences to inform marketing and communication strategy.

    Maintain industry knowledge of best practices and advances in marketing and digital communications to inform updates to the center's strategic communications plan.


    • Master's degree and 7 years of relevant experience with graphic design, web design, and multi-channel communications
    Experience working within an academic medical center or university setting

    Proficiency in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM); Adobe InDesign; Adobe Illustrator; Adobe Photoshop; Adobe Acrobat Pro; Adobe Stock; Adobe Premiere; MailChimp, Constant Contact, and/or comparable CRM platforms with e-newsletter capabilities; Microsoft Outlook; Microsoft Word; Microsoft PowerPoint; Microsoft Excel and/or SmartSheet.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED): Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.


    Capacity to synthesize materials and communicate information in a manner easily understood.
    Experience with managing projects to specifications and to meet expected deadlines.
    Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
    Frequently stand/walk, sit, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, speaking.
    Occasionally grasp forcefully, writing by hand.
