    POSITION SUMMARY:

    As a Host, you will be responsible for exceeding the customer expectations by providing them with friendly, prompt, and attentive service. Hosts are required to greet incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner then seat the guest in the dining and bar areas while ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Welcoming and thanking guests in a warm manner.
    • Answering questions - accurately and politely.
    • Maintaining a clean and organized waiting area.
    • Answering the phone.
    • Directing guests to areas of the hotel.
    • Assisting servers, bussers, and managers during service.
    • Performing opening, closing & side duties.
    • Assuring the complete satisfaction of each and every guest.
    • Performs other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.

    Requirements:

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Restaurant Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
    • Remaining calm in a hectic, fast-paced environment.
    • Demonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail, and sense-of-urgency.
    • Displaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests and co-workers.
    • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
    • Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends. Must be able to work overtime as required.

    EDUCATION:

    High School diploma or equivalent, general education degree or international equivalent preferred.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Good knowledge of the English language is mandatory as well as the ability to speak, read and write clearly. Must be able to read and listen to instructions, memos, short correspondences, and messages.

    PHYSICAL ABILITY:

    • Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
    • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
    • Continuous use of hands and arms
    • Continuous bending, reaching, and twisting.
    • Maintains strong personal image and uniform standards.
