- Minimum 10 years' experience

- Review geotechnical, environmental, and transportation reports to identify engineering problems and assess the possible impact to projects
- Compute water and sewer flow rates, grading requirements, hydrologic run-off rates, and hydraulic capacities of pipes and swales
- Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects
- Estimate quantities and cost of materials, labor, or equipment to determine project feasibility
- Inspect and monitor each project's progress and ensure conformance to design specifications
- Prepare or present project deliverables, such as drawing packages, specifications, drainage reports, utility studies plats, and bid proposals to client or agency with jurisdiction over the project
- Provide technical advice regarding construction and design
- Keep informed of new scientific methods and developments affecting engineering design
- Plan and design projects following construction and governmental standards, using design software and AutoCAD Civil 3D
