- Will be working in the R&D lab supporting research of cement board/specialty board that is used in wet/tile applications.
- Lab work- mix cement formulations, test properties of cement, measure temperature change as it sets, hardness, breaking strength, nail/pull resistance test.
- Will be in the lab making batches, measuring properties, may have to take sample and cut into pieces or make a batch/formulation and pour into a mold to test it when on site.
- Will also travel to their manufacturing sites to help implement product production - typically twice a month for 2 days at a time
Skills & Qualifications: - BS Chemistry, Material Science or Chemical Engineering and 8-10 years industry experience OR Masters and 5 years of experience
- Previous experience industry and experience in a manufacturing setting/applying the lab process to real life - truly research application
- Ability to run test, tabulate data, analyze trends, and present back. Previous quality control experience is ideal.
- Candidate will have experience with cement, panels, concrete, bricks, some sort of binder material
- 50 lb. lifting requirement.
