My client is a well-known European bank looking to hire a Credit Analyst at the Senior Associate-level to join their global business.

The Senior Credit Analyst sits on the second line of defense and is responsible for independently overseeing a diverse portfolio of transactions across various sectors, such as, LBO, Leverage Finance, Commodities and Project Finance. The Credit Analyst also conducts annual reviews, processes amendments and modifications, monitors the diversified portfolio, assigns internal credit ratings, and establishes credit risk limits in accordance with the risk tolerance.

Other responsibilities include:

• Analyze various risk elements of credit risk, and present written executive summaries to the management of the Credit Department.

• Supports the maintenance of credit quality and provide feedback to the business unit to ensure consistent and complete credit applications in compliance with internal standards.

• Monitor the portfolio to identify potential risks and recommend appropriate actions.

• Supports the review and challenge of the quarterly and annual monitoring for assigned portfolio.

• Analyze and evaluate amendment/consent/waiver requests, assessing their impact on credit and preparing credit approval applications with recommended actions.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant experience at a financial institution.

This position is in office 3 days/week in Chicago.
