Converses with store visitors regarding merchandise, provides accurate product information, answers questions about merchandise, and shows/demonstrates merchandise. Engages customers to ensure optimum shopping experience. 2. Operates a variety of retail equipment, including cash register, POS system, credit card processor, iPad Square, and calculator.3. Performs opening and closing procedures, including balancing registers.4. Assists in stocking, labeling, and displaying merchandise.5. Gift wraps merchandise as needed.6. Orients visitors to exhibitions and programs through Scottsdale Arts. 7. Provide support and direction for store volunteers as needed.8. Ensures store and back areas are kept neat, clean, and organized.9.

Performs other duties as requiredHere is what you will need to be successful:1.

Education:
High school or equivalent2.


Experience:
One year of retail sales or customer service experience3.

Attributes:

• Ability to add, subtract, and calculate percentages.
• Experience handling cash, check and credit card transactions accurately and with integrity.
• Ability to solve practical problems
• Ability to interpret various instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Creative merchandising skills helpful
• Previous experience with POS and ticketing software preferred
• Demonstrated interest or experience in the arts preferred
• Must be able to utilize tech equipment needed to run the store
• Must be friendly, open, and approachable to impact customer service positively

4 Work Environment:
May occasionally be exposed to outside elements.

Employees are frequently required to use their hands to finger, handle, or feel objects and tools or use controls to talk or hear.

Employees are required to stand or walk for long periods of time; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Occasionally lifts or moves items up to 25 pounds.
