The registered nurse functions under his or her own license and assumes accountability and responsibility for quality of care provided to patients and their families according to the Standards of Nursing Practice.
The nurse is responsible for assessing and reassessing each patient and planning the care that includes the spiritual, emotional, physiological and psychosocial needs.
Required Education:
Graduate of accredited school of Nursing
Preferred Education:
BSN
Required Technical Skills:
Basic CPR, knowledge and ability to perform the skills necessary for the unit specific competencies.
Preferred Technical Skills:
ACLS, PALS
Required License/Registration/Certification:
Texas Nursing License
Preferred License/Registration/Certification:
Unit specific certifications
Required Experience:
Possess the knowledge to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to patients.
Preferred Experience:
1 year experience as an RN
