**Essential Key Job Responsibilities**
*Acting supervisor in the absence of food service supervisor and manager.*
*Reviews menus, recipes, spreads and production sheets to determine food to prepare.*
*Plans cooking schedule to ensure that food will be ready at specified times.*
*Prepares food in correct quantities using proper food preparation and techniques to conserve nutritive value and quality of foods.*
*Ensuring food is served in a safety and timely manner. Uses food thermometers to determine that foods are at the proper temperature for meal service, i.e., 165 F internal temperature, and records temperatures.*
*Serves food according to spreadsheets, patient/resident requests and menus.*
*Provides support, documentation, and communication to ensure smooth operations in the Department.*
*Maintains work areas to meet sanitation and safety standards.*
*Maintaining proper dress code including good personal hygiene.*
*This position is 32 or 40 hours per week.*
