    Job Summary:

    The "Water Spider" is a role centered around timely and accurate stock replenishment and refills the production line with the required materials to maintain a steady flow. The general approach of the job is to accomplish Material Delivery to the Line, Product Verification, and In-Line inspection of raw materials and products. The goal of the job is to shorten the process lead time and reduce waste.

    Essential Responsibilities:


    • Responsible for maintaining the efficient flow of material from the cutting operation to the production line


    • Pull the kits and perform the Verification that all materials are present in order for the production line to begin the job


    • Manage the Visual Management (color indicators) of the carts with the appropriate color-coding scheme


    • Access master control for Engineering Drawing verification to ensure that the most up to date drawing is used


    • Perform First Piece Inspection for the operators at the workstation to avoid the transportation and motion to Final Inspection


    • Transport finished goods from Production Line to Final Inspection


    • At the beginning of each shift, collect the cut logs from the Cutting area and deliver to the Material Handler


    • Willing to be used as a "utility" player for the overall operations team and occasionally perform some duties outside the bounds of this description

    Qualifications:


    • Must be able to work on government contracts directly or access shared data resources (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.)


    • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; and, at least 3 years of production experience is preferred


    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with team members and management


    • Demonstrated ability read engineering drawings and use technology


    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities; organize tasks; and maintain pace throughout the shift


    • Experience with Lean concepts is helpful
