Description
Purpose of this Job:
This position is responsible for assisting in the development and deployment of the commercial and strategic activities for Sanden's North American Heavy Duty truck and Off-Highway client base.
This role will be responsible for developing a product strategy to meet the company's one year and 5 year business plans.
RequirementsPrinciple Duties/Essential Functions:
Acts as the focal point of communication between Sanden and our Heavy Duty Truck and Off-Highway customers, including the Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Service and Warranty functionsBuild new business relationship and grow current relationships with key customer personnel for a mutually beneficial relationship.
Work closely with Sanden's Sales Engineering and Design Engineering functions to develop the technical strategies and initiatives needed to promote to Sanden's Heavy Duty truck and Off-Highway customersDevelop strategies to utilize trade shows, customer and dealer events, and industry conferences towards new business opportunities.
Develop, maintain, and execute a monthly, yearly, and long-range (5+ years) business plan.Prepare and distribute a monthly sales forecast based on both macroeconomic and industry-specific factors for our North American Heavy Duty truck and Off-Highway markets.
Coordinate a marketing plan and create marketing materials as needed to realize sales goalsGenerates sales leads and translates these leads into new business opportunities Other Tasks/Responsibilities:Assists customer service group to resolve customer concernsAssists divisional management in developing divisional budget and sales projectionsCompetencies:ProspectingProduct KnowledgeCustomer ServiceData AnalysisNegotiating SkillsRelationship BuildingLogical & Solution MindedAbility to multi-task in pressurized environmentEducation:Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering (Preferred); MBA highly desirableKnowledge, Skills, and Experience:2-5 years' experience in Technical Sales/Account Management, with a proven track record of driving measurable and meaningful business resultsStrong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously requiredAbility to successfully interact with a wide range of customer and dealership personnelMust be knowledgeable of automotive quality systems and proceduresRequires excellent verbal and written communication skillsRequires strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power PointLicenses or Certifications:N/A
