Job description

Prior experience in skilled nursing care in a homecare setting is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of patients' medical histories, treatments, and progress.
Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, and respiratory rate, ensuring thorough documentation.
Patient Assessment: Monitor and observe patients for progress, side effects from medications, and any changes in condition.
Personal Care Support: Provide assistance with daily living activities such as eating, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene, always maintaining dignity and respect.
Medical Procedures: Administer prescribed medications, injections, and treatments such as enemas, wound care, and other routine medical tasks.
Emotional Support: Offer emotional support and comfort to patients, ensuring they feel cared for and heard during their treatment.
Family Communication: Communicate with patients' families to provide updates, advice, and comfort, while also delivering necessary care instructions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Proven experience in a similar role with a valid LPN license in the state of employment.
Healthcare Standards Knowledge: Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation standards, ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices in patient care.
Confidentiality Compliance: Ability to manage confidential patient information with discretion and in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Medical Terminology Proficiency: Strong understanding of medical terminology, ensuring clear and accurate communication in patient care.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members.
Stress Management: Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations, demonstrating problem-solving skills and a compassionate approach.
