Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Cafe Team Member to help with all-around tasks in our cafe. This is a great position for someone with little or no experience who is willing to learn. You will help with serving customers, fulfilling food orders, basic food prep, simple baking tasks, and washing dishes.

Priority: Fulfilling customer food and drink orders quickly and accurately is the most important responsibility in this role. All other tasks should support fast and smooth service during busy times.

Hours will vary day-to-day based on how busy the cafe is. Shifts may end earlier or be extended depending on customer volume.

Duties

• Fulfill food and drink orders accurately and quickly (top priority)
• Serve customers at the counter and provide friendly customer service
• Assist with basic food prep (sandwiches, salads, simple recipes)
• Help with light baking and assembling baked goods as trained
• Wash dishes and keep kitchen and dining areas clean
• Restock ingredients, supplies, and grab-and-go items
• Follow basic food safety and cleanliness guidelines
• Help with opening, closing, and general daily tasks as needed

Requirements

• No prior kitchen experience required (we will train the right person)
• Willingness to learn and help with a variety of tasks
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment during busy rushes
• Good attitude, dependable, and able to follow instructions
• Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 30–40 lbs
• Flexible availability; hours depend on daily business levels
• Able to work mornings, weekends, and some holidays as needed

Preferred (Not Required)

• Any experience in food service, customer service, or baking
• Interest in learning more about cafe operations and food prep

This is an entry-level, all-around cafe position focused on teamwork, efficiency, and keeping customers served quickly.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
