    Position Summary

    Tioga is currently looking for a Business Development Representativeto be located in the Southeastern & Midwest US and reporting to the Chattanooga Regional Sales Director. The Business Development Representative will be responsible for the growth of accounts in the region, selling Tioga's strengths.

    Qualifications
    • Minimum of 5 years recent experience in a sales role of industrial sales preferably in steel pipe. Relevant sales experience in the region.
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
    • Strong business acumen and Sales mindset
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Excellent customer relations
    • Working knowledge of MS Office applications especially in Excel and Outlook
    • Good mathematical and mechanical aptitude
    Roles and Responsibilities
    • Identify, develop, grow, and manage accounts within the region. Develop relationships with key staff at each account. Provide leadership for account growth.
    • Represent Tioga in interactions with customers, vendors, third party contractors and co-workers in the highest professional manner.
    • Develop sales budget/objectives for assigned territory and market.
    • Achieve budgeted sales goals.
    • Uncover and develop project sales in the region.
    • Responsible for communications and required negotiations with internal and external organizations.
    • Provide professional communications whether in oral or written form to all Tioga personnel, customers, vendors, third party contractors for assigned territory.
    • Provide development, evaluation and recommendation on contracted services and materials.
    • Provide risk assessment analysis to stakeholders at all phases of the sales cycle.
    Key Position Skills
    • Strong understanding of applications for steel pipe.
    • Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Strong planning and organizational skills.
    • Knowledge of logistics and challenges in distribution.
    • Direct experience in successfully developing and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
