The Lafayette OTD Rotational Program (LORP) aims to nurture your skills and enthusiasm, preparing you for a fulfilling career in engine manufacturing.

The LORP program spans three years and includesthree 1-year rotational assignments
within the Large Engine business sector, situated in Lafayette, Indiana. Assignments are diverse to meet business needs, offering hands-on learning experiences with impactful outcomes.
You will explore different functional areas, gaining a comprehensive understanding of both the Large Engine business and customer requirements.
Upon program completion, LORP graduates will assume roles that continue to demand the technical and leadership skills acquired during the program.

What You Will Do:
As part of the development program, you will acquire valuable experience through roles focused on quality, manufacturing engineering, supply chain planning, logistics, operations supervision, and more.
LORP provides a wide exposure to Caterpillar's large engine business.
You will be entrusted with diverse project responsibilities, engaging in global teams, cross-functional job experiences, and beneficial networking opportunities with Caterpillar leadership at all levels.
What You Have:
Individuals interested in joining the Lafayette OTD Rotational Program in the Operations Leadership track must meet the following basic requirements:
Cumulative GPA of 2.8/4.0 scale (no rounding)
Expected graduation date of May 2024 or earlier
Top Candidates will also have:
Prior relevant work experience or internships in manufacturing, supply chain, or operations industry
Proficiency in relevant technical areas
Demonstrated leadership in campus outreach, community service, and extracurricular activities
Completion of relevant coursework and projects
Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills
Ability to exhibit critical thinking, analytical skills, and initiative
Demonstrated knowledge of order to delivery, engineering, and manufacturing principles
