    Description

    Job Title: Application Engineer – Direct Channel

    Company: Johnson Controls

    What you will do:

    • Review customer Building Automation System project estimates and provide recommendations to optimize costs
    • Manage product pricing variances per project in collaboration with account managers
    • Be the technical subject matter expert for Building Automation and Control Products (Metasys)
    • Promote and sell technical products and solutions for the Johnson Controls direct product channel

    How you will do it:

    • Establish the technical needs of the customer and suggest appropriate products
    • Thoroughly analyze building automation system proposals and estimates for optimization
    • Explain complex technical information to customers in an easily understandable way
    • Manage product pricing variances per project in coordination with account managers
    • Recommend product solutions linked to customer objectives for total value solution
    • Generate reports and analyses to track project stage and support Account Managers
    • Enter and manage special price quotes for project-related product cost variances
    • Visit key customers to enhance satisfaction and knowledge of products
    • Assist and deliver training classes on product mix, features, and benefits
    • Communicate new product introductions and updates to the customer base
    • Evaluate and refine proposal processes and strategies for efficiency and win rates
    • Identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation in proposals

    What you will need:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 4+ years of experience in Building Construction Industry
    • Experience with Mechanical Retrofits, HVAC controls, and BAS management projects
    • Ability to support projects of higher complexity
    • Experience with Salesforce preferred
