We are looking for Manager Technical Services I to join our Pharmaceutical Business Unit team and

provide technical leadership for development and use of Sensient excipients in dietary supplements and pharmaceutical products. This exciting role manages commercial application projects with emphasis on use of flavor and taste modifying technologies,

What You'll do:
You will coordinate internal resources to ensure new product development projects meet commercial needs. The incumbent will have direct contact with customers.
Deliver commercially successful project solutions in accordance with the customer goals,end product challenges and regulatory requirements. Key outputs are application-based solutions that meet performance criteria, technical ingredient usage guidance and Cost in Use knowledge.

Participate in joint visits to customers and prospects with field sales and translate technical content for diverse audiences (e.g., sales, R&D, QC, Operations).

Travel domestically and internationally, as needed, up to 50%; will need flexibility to accommodate short notice travel occasionally.

Develop subject matter expertise for key customer application formats (e.g., gummies, beverages, chewable tablets, etc.) in order to optimize and create new solutions with Sensient flavors and excipients.

Serve as the technical subject matter expert on Pharma product platforms with emphasis on Flavor and Taste Modifying Technologies.

What You'll bring:
BSc. or M.Sc. in food science, chemistry, or comparable biological fields and at least five years professional experience.
Professional experience in application of technical ingredients for consumable products. Must have experience selecting and evaluating technical ingredients versus performance needs, including sensory evaluation training.
Strong intrinsically motivated mindset, innovative thinking and creativity. Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple tasks in an effective manner.
Excellent communication skills, experience in working both autonomously as well as in a team.
An understanding of the formulation, development and production of technical ingredients is preferred
