    Description
    Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsible for directing, coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices.

    Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.


    Tech:

    Responsible for the delivery of patient care by applying skills and techniques common to the practice of Operating Room Technician.

    The Operating Room Technician functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and performs tasks related to patient care.


    Education:
    Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing or Graduate of a School of Operating Room Technicians.


    Experience:
    At least one year previous experience in clinical unit preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team and excellent communication skills required.


    Licenses/Certificates:
    Current IL Registered Nurse (RN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through The American Heart Association is required upon hire.

    Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained by the end of the month following 90 days of employment.


    Tech:
    Surgical Technician Certification preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) through The American Heart Association required upon hire.
