Penn Center, part of AbbeHealth Services in Delhi, Iowa, offers mental health services to individuals on the path to recovery, assisting them in transitioning to more independent living in the community.

We are seeking team-oriented nurses to deliver care to individuals working on mental health recovery.

Responsibilities

• Is knowledgeable about department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid) related to fraud, waste, and abuse. Raises any compliance queries to department or administrative staff promptly.
• Performs all job aspects ethically, aligning with the organization's commitment to ethical conduct in all personal and professional areas.
• Demonstrates a positive, collaborative attitude, adaptability, and openness to change to achieve department objectives.
• Delivers holistic, integrated care with a primary focus on treating mental health conditions in an outpatient setting.
• Collaborates with psychiatric providers, reception and scheduling staff, care coordinators, and other team members to ensure client needs are addressed.
• Job duties include patient rooming, completing health assessments, handling refill requests, and communicating assessment findings with psychiatric providers.
• Performs additional tasks as assigned to ensure comprehensive customer service.

Qualifications

PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS

Education

Iowa LPN required

Qualifications/Experience

Experience working with individuals in recovery from mental illness and/or substance use disorders is preferred. Must exhibit strong decision-making skills, empathy, and contribute to a positive office environment. Iowa Driver's License is mandatory.
