JOB SUMMARY
Selected by, reporting to, and working closely with the Board of
Directors, the President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide
the leadership, vision, and strategic direction necessary to
advance NEA, its staff, and the community it serves to the next
level. They will: manage day-to-day operations and activities;
supervise a dedicated, empathetic, and productive staff; and be the
visionary, inspirational, and compassionate face of NEA.
A key responsibility for the new CEO will be to lead development
of the next strategic plan. They will have primary oversight for:
developing and implementing strategies that result in increased
visibility; new and more diverse sources of funds; significantly
increasing the number of donors and dollars raised; expanding NEA's
patient-centric advocacy capabilities; and growing NEA
exponentially. The CEO will also steward and expand NEA's
partnerships in the pharmaceutical and medical communities.
The CEO focuses on long-range goals, growth, strategies, plans,
and policies, routinely exercising discretion and independent
judgment in the performance of their job duties. With NEA's
leadership team, this person will champion and enhance, as
appropriate, initiatives related to NEA's

COMPENSATION
