    Special Education Assistant (Program) for ASD Students at Franklin Middle School

    We are seeking a Special Education Assistant to support students with autism and other special needs in our learning environment. The ideal candidate will assist staff in developing individualized lessons and activities, promoting student independence, academic inclusion, and self-advocacy skills.

    This role requires bilingual fluency in English and a second language, as well as experience working with children with disabilities. You will work closely with teachers to implement behavior support plans and provide intervention services in resource settings.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist students with daily living tasks
    • Support classroom policies and procedures
    • Maintain accurate records of student progress

    Requirements:

    1. A high school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred
    2. Bilingual fluency (English & second language)Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities preferred(li>Certification requirements include MN State Driver's License & Special Ed Onboarding Training within 60 days of employment
