What You Will Do:
- Process and manage bi-weekly and monthly payroll cycles for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Review timesheets and other payroll input data to detect and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Run and reconcile payroll reports and audits.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records with confidentiality and precision.
- Respond to employee paycheck questions and issues in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
- Ensure all payroll transactions are properly documented and saved for auditing and compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve discrepancies and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Stay updated on changes to federal, state, and local payroll regulations and ensure organizational compliance.
- Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 and other tax statement preparation.
- Identify needed additions, updates and edits to payroll processing guide and user quick reference guides and make required modifications.
- Employment verification processing support.
What You Will Need to be Successful:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in payroll administration or a similar role.
- Solid understanding of payroll practices, labor laws, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency with HRIS and Payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
