    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced

    Phlebotomist

    to join a fast-paced acute care laboratory team.

    The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting and be comfortable working with diverse patient populations.

    This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide compassionate patient care while ensuring accurate specimen collection and processing.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages.
    Properly label, process, and transport specimens to the laboratory.
    Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen documentation.
    Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards.
    Enter patient and specimen data into the EPIC charting system.
    Collaborate with nursing and laboratory staff to ensure timely specimen collection.
    Maintain inventory of phlebotomy supplies and ensure equipment cleanliness.
    Participate in rotating weekends and holiday coverage as required.
    Skills

    Strong venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
    Knowledge of specimen handling and processing protocols
    Familiarity with EPIC charting system
    Excellent communication and patient care skills
    Ability to work independently and in a team environment
    Strong organizational and time-management abilities
    Requirements

    Minimum

    2 years

    of recent phlebotomy experience (hospital preferred)
    BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification

    required
    Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
