    Primary Responsibilities

    In the role of GIS Manager, we'll count on you to:
    • Ensure that GIS technology is being used properly and efficiently
    • Understand current GIS demands and determine how best to meet them
    • Manage and oversee technical projects, determine goals and objectives, and ensure project milestones are met
    • Coordinate different GIS activities among various groups, agencies, departments, or individuals
    • Administer GIS resources within the office, including hardware, software licensing and staffing
    • Participate in business developmentdeveloping proposals, presentations and budgeting
    • Mentor GIS users and GIS professionals
    • Participate in business and client development activities
    • Review project quality assurance plans as needed
    • Perform other duties as needed
    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications

    •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geography, Planning, Engineering or Natural Science

    •Minimum of 10 years of practical GIS experience an advanced degree in relevant field may offset 5 years of experience

    •Proficient in use of ArcGIS, ArcGIS extensions and Microsoft Office

    •Expertise in data analysis, including statistics or geostatistic

    •Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to write reports that summarize spatial analyses and communicate findings with charts, tables and narrative

    •Demonstrated ability to serve as a GIS project leader including development of technical approach, budget, scheduling, and quality assurance

    •Ability to identify industry trends and determine where company capabilities can be marketed to existing and potential client

    •GISP, AICP, PE or other professional certification a plu

    •An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Esri Certification
    • Experience with managing and mentoring staff, project management, business development, administrating ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise, mobile data workflows, environmental support (NEPA, permitting, other regulatory processes), and/or water resources project/programs

The expected compensation range for this position is $92, $150,750.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
