    GENERAL FUNCTION

    As part of the EssilorLuxottica North America Payroll Team, the Sr Analyst - Payroll (Tax) performs a variety of duties to support the HR, Payroll and Tax functions for EssilorLuxottica.

    This position also provides exceptional customer service and problem resolution while maintaining strict confidentiality of information at all times.

    This role is responsible for all functions relating to payroll tax reporting, payments and tax filings utilizing ADP Payroll Tax Services for multiple-EIN's, operating in multi-states environment, assisting with acquisitions/mergers to ensure compliance with all federal, state, province and local tax authorities.

    MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Compliance with all federal, state, province, and local tax regulations for US, Puerto Rico and Canada
    Ability to research, analyze and provide recommendations to tax related questions
    Maintaining payroll tax controls, reports and files for each taxing authority by EIN
    Analyze and reconcile payroll controls to quarterly ADP reports and Preview W-2s, T4s & RL-1s
    Process tax adjustments and amendments as well as create process documentation
    Preparing and filing returns not supported by ADP Tax Service on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
    Document and verify tax rate changes are accurately updated
    Administer new account set ups, prepare/remit new State, SUI & Local registrations and closures as needed for tax authorities
    Timely coordinate tax notices from federal, state, province and local tax agencies with ADP SmartCompliance for research and resolution
    Reconciliation/management of incoming tax agency refunds coordinating back-up and coding with GL & AR
    First line support to incoming payroll tax tickets & inquiries, provide timely and exceptional customer service
    First line support for agencies inquires, tax notices, communications and employee federal tax exempt approval notifications
    Audit online HR Reports to ensure accurate tax setups for home address changes, location address changes, new hires, transfers and Visas/EADs
    Assist with Acquisitions and Integrations tax workbooks, audits, and prior tax balances
    Process tax setups related to VISAs & EADs
    Process employee tax setups for local and school district taxes
    Provide support to the Payroll Coordinators & Specialists for tax errors, issues and inquiries
    Train on and serve as backup to process year-end tasks by established deadline and backup on Expats and Shadow Payrolls

    Support and cross train other payroll employees on payroll tax

    Support internal and external audits


    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
    Associates degree in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience required
    5+ years HR Payroll tax experience required
    Experience with ADP's GlobalView, ADP reporting or equivalent
    Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word
    Leadership, initiative, analytic, investigative and attention to detail skills
    Trustworthiness with confidential information
    Multi-state payroll experience
    Must be comfortable with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes and have strong active listening skills.
    Experience with data analysis and auditing
    Prioritize work in a fast pace and constantly changing environment
    Work effectively with all levels of management, staff, customers, and vendors


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Bachelor's degree

    CPP
    Advanced in MS Excel
