    Job Description and Duties

    The Criminalist Manager is in charge of coordinating, planning, organizing, directing, and managing the California Criminalistics Institute (CCI). Additionally, the manager has bureau-wide duties related to planning and policy. The role involves overseeing the institute's operation to offer bureau staff, visiting scientists, and university students up-to-date classes on method development, as well as all aspects of forensic evidence collection and analysis, crucial for meeting the Department of Justice's (DOJ) objectives.
