Job summary
The County Attorney Lead Attorney is responsible for overseeing all adult misdemeanor prosecutions from intake through final disposition. This includes screening new cases, making charging and filing decisions, and representing the State of Texas in court proceedings.This position involves supervising adult criminal prosecutions in a County Court at Law and one or more Justice of the Peace courts. The Lead Attorney will train and assist less experienced prosecutors..
