    Overview:

    Summary:

    Inventory Associate is responsible with assisting the Inventory Accounting Manager in processing vendor payments, tracking the material cost of goods sold, and updating on hand inventory within the accounting systems.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
    Complete entries and analyze material cost of goods sold and report findings
    Review information and ensure accuracy on vendor statements before payments are made
    Enter material receipts into inventory system to include cementitious material, aggregates, admixtures, fuel, and bagged product while also track all freight costs
    Process vendor payments by validating material receipt to vendor invoice
    Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
    Complete and support projects as assigned by manager
    Protects organizations value by keeping information confidential
    Comply with requirements set forth by the school

    Global Responsibilities:
    Regular attendance and physical presence at work is an essential function of this position

    Qualifications:
    Education/Specialized Knowledge/Professional Certifications:

    High School Diploma or equivalent required
    Major in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    Completion of Freshman year of college preferred

    Experience:
    Familiarity with financial statements and journal entries
    Tracking outstanding bills and processing payments

    Skills/Abilities:
    Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
    Good communication and interpersonal skills over the phone and through email
    Adaptable and flexible to respond positively to challenges and deadlines
    Critical thinking, data analysis and problem-solving abilities

    Working Conditions:
    Operations are within a professional office environment
    Routine usage of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets

    Physical Requirements:
    Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
    Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
