    Technical Support, Survey & Engineering


    Salary:
    Overall earnings around $110,000, including an $85,000-$95,000 base salary (negotiable based on experience)

    Location/Travel:
    California. Approximately 50%, more during initial training period.


    SUMMARY:
    Provides comprehensive technical support to sales teams and channels, ensuring successful adoption of survey equipment and solutions. Leads technical initiatives within the Strategic Account Development team to facilitate seamless conversion to company solutions.

    Supports sales activities in assigned regions through demos, remote and on-site technical assistance, training, system installations, and development of support materials.

    Collaborates with the Strategic Account Development team to create customized transition plans for accounts.

    Coordinates training activities, including material development, webinars, site visits, and serves as the primary contact for post-sales technical support and training needs.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Assists Sales Representatives with product orders, offering pre and post-sales technical support.
    Provides technical support for customers and sales reps via phone, internet, and email for survey equipment and software.
    Offers support and training services, including field training, system integration, and software installation.
    Develops and delivers technical training aids and courses.
    Logs all support requests, acts as incident owner, and ensures resolution.
    Assists with trade shows and exhibitions.
    Conducts field tests to analyze equipment performance.
    Provides regular input to Manager on product performance and market needs.
    Develops conversion plans for targeted accounts.
    Maintains training schedule and resources for conversion accounts.
    Provides reports to specific individuals on training progress and success indicators.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's degree in geodesy preferred, or a comparable bachelor's degree.

    Surveying plus a minimum of two years related experience in the use of Leica Total Stations and Leica GNSS in survey and construction related applications is essential.

    Basic understanding of Surveying, GPS, and modeling & CAD software. Ability to quickly master and explain any software.

    Knowledge of the integration of regular Survey data with Imagery and Point Cloud data, as well as processing workflows and the generation of deliverables within various 3D modeling & CAD s/w packages is desirable.

    Registered Land Surveyors License preferred, but not required. Any additional survey certifications a plus.
