    Job Description: Family Support Specialist

    We are seeking a full-time Family Support Specialist to join our team in working with teen parents. This role involves establishing trusting relationships with overburdened families by delivering culturally competent, strength-based, family-centered, and family-directed services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Initiate and maintain regular contact with assigned families in their home environment.
    • Manage an active caseload of families, completing assessments and developing individualized family support plans based on family needs and preferences.
    • Provide assistance to families in areas such as positive parent-child interaction, home environment, safety, nutrition, child growth and development, and child health care.
    • Develop and maintain necessary community relationships to execute responsibilities and promote goal attainment.
    • Offer transportation for program participants related to family needs.

    Qualifications

    To be successful in this role, you will require:

    • Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 0-2 years' experience in early childhood education, maternal-child health, family life education, home visitation, social work, counseling, or a related human service field.
    • Knowledge of working with parenting teens, at-risk youth, and/or pregnant or parenting teens and their families.
