- EDI Implementation and Maintenance : Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to implement EDI systems and processes. Maintain and update existing EDI systems, ensuring compatibility with evolving business needs and technological advancements.
- EDI Document Management : Manage the exchange of electronic documents such as purchase orders, invoices, shipment notices, and inventory reports. Monitor the flow of data to guarantee timely and accurate transmission.
- EDI Compliance : Stay abreast of EDI standards and regulations within the fashion industry, including GS1, ANSI X12, and EDIFACT. Ensure that EDI transactions adhere to compliance requirements and data security protocols.
- Issue Resolution : Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving EDI-related issues. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify and address technical challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting : Monitor EDI transactional activity and performance metrics. Generate regular reports to evaluate system efficiency, identify trends, and recommend improvements for optimization.
- Training and Support : Provide guidance and training to internal teams on EDI processes and best practices. Offer technical support and assistance to resolve EDI-related queries or concerns.
- Vendor Management : Liaise with external vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners to onboard them onto the EDI platform. Coordinate testing and validation of EDI transactions to ensure seamless integration and data accuracy.
- Continuous Improvement : Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancement and automation within the EDI framework. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions that streamline operations and drive efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience working in EDI coordination or a similar role within the fashion or retail industry.
- In-depth knowledge of EDI standards, protocols, and transaction sets (e.g., 850, 810, 856).
- Familiarity with EDI software platforms and data mapping tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and other relevant software applications.
- Certification in EDI or related field is a plus.
