    PURPOSE:
    This position will be a leader and help create solutions through monitoring every phase of the quality process.

    To meet our high quality standards, statistical analysis methods will be used to drive quality improvements for our manufacturing processes for customer satisfaction.


    Responsibilities:


    Ensure systems are in place for products to be manufactured, labeled, tested, dispositioned and shipped in accordance with ISO9001 and/or IATF16949, and other regulatory and company policies for specific areas of assigned responsibility.

    Support plant and company quality objectives for continuous improvement, new product development, operational excellence, and metrics tracking.

    Support a total system approach to quality by assuming responsibility for issues related to raw materials through finished product (including customer complaints) for assigned areas of responsibility.

    Ensure internal specifications meet customer, regulatory, external specifications, and company requirements.

    The Quality Engineer positions have responsibility for one or more of the following:
    Industrial, HVAC, Building & Construction, Areospace, Automotive, Pipeline, Retail and associated documentation requirements. Act as a customer representative. Actively support all EHS policies to promote a safe work environment. Support Operations Excellence initiatives of the company including Six Sigma, Lean, etc.

    Build effective working relationships with assigned customersSpecifications- Ensure customer, regulatory and company requirements are within defined process capabilities and that internal specifications ensure that production meets customer requirements, i.e.

    Automotive, ASTM, Areospace, Nuclear, etc.
    Documentation- Maintain document control so products, processes, and documentation effectively meet all requirements. Work with ISO team to ensure that document control system is properly maintained.
    Data Analysis / Process Control- Lead FEMA sessions and define actions for follow up.

    Responsible for QA data collection system in collaboration with Lab Supervisor to ensure the database is reviewed and fields, views, and specifications meet the requirements of the department and business.

    Data analysis should be performed to identify trends and consistency. Ensure inspection and control charting requirements are met and appropriate actions are being taken to be in control.

    Proactively perform capability studies and analyze statistical quality data through product reviewsProduct Release- Responsible for controlling product documentation, testing, and product release for customer satisfactionNon-Conforming Product / Problem Solving- Non-conforming product is placed on hold, investigated, and dispositioned timely.

    Facilitate customer complaints, internal investigations, NCMR investigations, and any activities related to customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction. Implement statistical based problem-solving methods, i.e. green belt tools, RCA. Identify and facilitate improvement projects / corrective actions and monitor for effectiveness.
    Training- Responsible for quality assurance / quality systems training to support the business. Communicate quality standards, customer concerns, supplier concerns, and internal concerns for all products to manufacturing. i.e. visual tools, meetings, etc.

    Cost Savings- Responsible for ideas / projects that drives savings to achieve plant objectivesTesting- Responsible for understanding the test methods and equipment.

    Able to perform studies for process / product improvementsQualifications:


    Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience3-5 years of experience in a related roleISO9001/IATF16949 familiarity or training preferredProficiency with MS Office applications, JD Edwards.

    MS Project or Smartsheet knowledge preferredAbility to travel, work flexible hours on occasion if neededAbility to interact with all levels of the organization
